Tomato Ketchup

Classic BBQ Souce using mrTruk Tomato Ketchup

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup tomato ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the tomato ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until they are well combined.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until it has thickened to your liking.
  5. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the BBQ sauce cool to room temperature.
  7. Store the BBQ sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.

This BBQ sauce is perfect for glazing meats on the grill or as a dipping sauce for chicken tenders, French fries, or onion rings. Enjoy!
